The character Shawn Bolt is my Homage to Link, from the Legend of Zelda. I have always been captivated by the Legend of Zelda’s lore. stuck in a never ending battle, Link the Warrior, Zelda the Princess, and Ganondorf known as The Beast King or Warlock are constantly reincarnating in different eras. Link has always reminded me of people like Conan the Barbarian or John Carter of Mars, a single warrior fighting in his lonesome in a wild world of mystery. When you read the novel you will notice Shawn’s past is a warped version of Link’s.
